Mom-Inspired Glamour Photo Shoot

I have been watching an amazing photographer, Sue Bryce all day on Creative Live.  She is absolutely inspirational, constantly.  I love following her on Facebook and Twitter.  (www.suebryce.com)  She is a glamour portrait photographer from Australia.  She has inspired me to reach out to my fans and try to find someone to gift a glamour photo shoot to.

I think my inspiration is 1 part from watching Sue transform women and tell their stories and 1 part the incredible Mommy Expo I exhibited at yesterday.  I had the honor of talking to moms from around The Woodlands area and hear their stories of how much they value pictures of their little ones, eager to capture each moment in their little lives.

I totally relate to those moms.  When my daughter was born 4 years ago, I went photo crazy.  I cherish each and every photograph I have of my beautiful Isabella.  However...  there is another side to talking to moms all day...  All of them were 100% unselfish, never considering a photo shoot for themselves, maybe a family photo shoot, but nothing featuring them.

I would like to put my two inspirational experiences together and do a giveaway, exclusively for MOMS!  =)  I want to hear your story of being a mom, or hear about your mom, or a friend that is an incredible mom...  Whichever woman you think is deserving of a day of pampering.  I will line up a make up artist and hair stylist.  I would like to meet with the mom about a dress or outfit that makes her feel great, which she could either choose from her closet or purchase.  (or maybe a gift from the person writing me)

Please send your stories to info@impressionsbyamber.com.  Please include who you are, tell me about her and why she is an incredible mom.  Feel free to pass this along to your friends and family as well.  I would like to have many to choose from.  =)

New Year's is always a great time to reflect and decide what you want to change for the next year.  I set out to pick my favorite image that I created during 2012...  After struggling to even narrow it down to a genre... wedding, family, baby, etc I decided maybe I should make a collage.  This is the final product.

2012 was a crazy busy year with highs and a few lows.  I am going to take away a sense of pride in the images I created and learn from my mistakes.  Starting in 2013 a retainer must be paid to hold an appointment, it will be nonrefundable and if a client doesn't give me at least 48 hrs notice to cancel an apointment, or is more than 20 minutes late, the retainer will not be returned.  The retainer will go towards the session fee if the appointment is kept.  I have also decided to only take one client per weekend while school is in session.  ( am also a full time high school teacher)  I think this will help me create the perfect balance between teaching, photography, and my great little family.  =)

I wish all of you a fabulous 2013 and all the happiness and success you can stand.  =)
